Classic style hides this watch's true nature.
I love how this watch never needs batteries and never needs to be set for date or time. It looks like an ordinary watch and does not attract attention, which I like. Although it has an alarm, I still can't set it without referring to the manual. I find this to be a moderate aggravation. I do like the light weight of the titanium case and band. The sapphire crystal is incredibly durable, much more so than the titanium case and band, which already show many scratches. The case is very thick, and I do catch it on the edges of desks and doorways sometimes as I swing my arm. I have developed skin rashes over time with other watches, but this nickel-free titanium has caused no problems so far.

Very Poor Customer Service
Beautiful watch but it came with the wrong operator's manual. I sent an email requesting the correct manual. I received an email from the company stating that the correct manual would be shipped. I never received the manual and now the company will not answer my emails. I'm very glad the watch didn't have any problems if this is how this company takes care of their customer's problems. Great watch very poor customer service.

Excellent Watch - Highly Recommended
Time is very precise. I set the watch by the window (per directions) and the signal gets acquired once but signal is sent 6 times, once each hour between midnight and 6am) or can be done manually. Can check the results of the acquired signal by pressing button where the second hand will point to yes (signal was acquired) or no (signal not acquired) on the dial. The dial is lighted via button or auto lights when arm is brought up (90 degrees) to check time. Battery gets charged by exposing to sunlight. Watch is well worth the $$. As with any item, shop around for best prices.

Perfect Watch for Me
I've had this watch for several weeks now and it's doing everything I wanted. The first night it didn't sync with the calibration signal out of Colorado due to heavy rain but every night since it has (even on my dresser in Ohio). I'm still amazed how its second hand sweeps in perfect sync with my Seiko atomic wall clock - to the second! No more "approximate time is..." around here. I also appreciate not having to adjust for Daylight Savings & back twice a year, or forgetting to tweak the month end for some months, or getting a new battery every few years. It's a no-hassle, very-accurate watch. I wanted a simple face - not one filled with dials I never use. My wife wishes they made a women's model with just the three analog dials. Some literature says it automatically changes for time zones but I don't see how it would know. I think they just mean you can, with button pushes, change time zones without cranking the dials manually. Anyway, I'm very happy with this watch - highly recommended.

Ok, one word: MASSIVE!. This is a watch for the Big Men, if you're looking for a watch to measure up to a NFL Linebacker this is what you need.

Beautiful watch with exceptional features
I received this watch as a gift from my wife on my birthday. I consider myself very picky when it comes to electronics and gadgets, and so this would also include watches. So when I saw that she got me a watch, and a new brand that I had not heard of, I was a little nervous. Immediately when I opened the very solid watch box, I thought the watch looked great. It has a sporty yet classy look, and the one I received was a beautiful silver band with a black face with three smaller dials. So as far as the looks, I was extremely pleased. Then it kept getting better:

1) The watch is Solar (via sun or indoor light), so it NEVER needs a battery, winding, or shaking

2) The watch synchronizes to the time via the US ATOMIC clock wirelessly every night, so it's always accurate everyday to within a second. This is cool to watch as you can log on online to the official US Time and watch the watch hit the correct time to the second.

3) The watch has dozens of worldwide cities/time zones built in, so you can display another time zone on one of the other small/sub dials

4) Even cooler, if you want to switch the world/city time zone from the smaller dial to be on the main large dial, you simply hold down a couple of buttons, and the dials automatically move to update the times on the watch. It's very cool to watch. For example, if you have the main watch hands set for NYC time and the world time set to London time, and it's say 10 pm NYC time, when you swap the time zones (perhaps if you were traveling to London) the first thing the watch does is swap the small dial from London time to NYC time, then it moves the date forward on the watch because it's the next day in London, then the large hands readjust automatically to London time, and the second hand then points to the world time zone for the small dial's city (which in this case would now be NYC). You can swap back anytime, or select any of the other world time zones with ease.

5) The watch has a subdial that shows 24-hour time as well

6) The watch automatically adjusts to daylight savings time in North America (includes Mexico and Canada)

7) The watch has a perpetual calendar so you never need to correct the date at the end/start of the months, including leap years

8) The watch has a daily alarm

9) The band is titanium so it is extremely light weight and looks great. It is shiny with a slight brushed, matte finish

10) The face of the watch is a synthetic sapphire so it resists scratches

11) The watch has a chronometer/stopwatch

12) The watch is waterproof and can be worn swimming, snorkeling, or even diving (I believe to 300 feet)

Each day that I had this watch, I initially found myself learning more and more about the features and having fun playing around with it, from constantly changing the world time and swapping it with the main watch hands and watching all the hands move around automatically, to using the stopwatch and alarm, and seeing all it could do. It is also nice because you can decide what to display on one of the subdials - you can always show your favorite world time zone, or you can have it always display the time that the alarm is set for, if that's the case, or you can have it in standby mode, where that particular subdial remains at the 12 o'clock position.

Additionally the watch has very good luminescent paint on the watch face so it is easy to read the time in the dark.

After having this watch, I don't think I'll ever go back to a watch that's not solar and would need a battery or winding/shaking, nor to one that is not synchronized to the US atomic clock. After all, a watch is meant to be accurate and always work. This one just happens to have a lot of great features and functions not only as a classy sporty watch, but as a great fun gadget too. It definitely has the look and feel of a 0+ watch.

Highly recommended as a great new brand and a great new watch. By the way, this watch is Japanese. Surprisingly, the company that makes Casio watches are also now the ones who make this high-end watch. BUT be careful! You would be ill-served if that scares you from seriously considering this watch (by the way, only "Oceanus" is on the watch face). You won't find these features and style on any other brand watch, and all sorts of professional watch magazines and blogs have raved about this watch and compared it in quality to some of the finest Swiss-engineered watches, both in style and build quality. Oceanus is an exceptional new brand. Highly recommended.

very nice watch!
Wow, yes, its very nice and looks good and feels good - just as advertised. It receives the atomic signals very well, too. The 6 hands and the analogue date display make a very nice watch - i love feature-filled, good looking electronic gadgets and the watch perfectly fits that.

The reason why i didn't give it 5 stars is that setting the alarm and using the world-time display can take up to a minute where the watch is just winding the hands to the right positions and all you can do is wait for it to complete - there is no way of interrupting that. This is especially anoying if you didn't intend changing the alarm or viewing the world-time.
